A seminary is seeking a Professor of Missions and Evangelism, to ensure that the next generation of pastors is sent out with an outward-looking focus. This is the best known seminary in the country and trains most of the future pastors for the Church of Pakistan and Presbyterian Church as well as for numerous other ministries. The person appointed needs to have good theological qualifications, and an ability to really communicate by word and example the call of the Church to missions and evangelism - in a context where both are often neglected in favour of the needs for teaching in the church community.

The Evangelist is to work with the resident Church of Pakistan pastor, to talk and pray with patients and visitors of a 75-bed Christian hospital that serves the tribal people of the region. They will also speak to patients and visitors at Daily Devotions and in Outpatients, lead Bible Studies and prayer groups for staff and interested people, and work with organisations external to the Hospital such as the Hospitals Christian Fellowship, and the Pakistan Bible Correspondence Institute. The candidate needs to be a theologically trained Christian, prepared to commit at least three years to the position, of which twelve to eighteen months would be in language study. Either male or female, but female preferred because the majority of our patients are female.
