Youth Ministry Intern 916
A youth ministry sponsored by the international churches of a capital city serves international English-speaking youth. Youth Ministry volunteers or interns in their twenties are being sought to serve for about 12 months from late July each year. This is a key 'mission support' role as many of the young people in the programmes are from mission families.
Volunteers are needed to mentor youth and help with retreats and weekly youth group meetings. Past experience with youth ministry is helpful, and skills in drama, worship leading, teaching, administration, and communication are very welcome, but not essential. The exact job description can be tailored to your experience and interests. You would work alongside the full-time Youth Worker. This is a voluntary position with some expenses covered.

This position offers a great opportunity to work together with mainstream churches, whose work is embedded in local culture and context. He/she must also be willing and capable of learning the language well, in order to lecture in the local language.
