Engineer / Consultant 799
Companies, donor agencies, NGOs and government organisations all need short-term consultant advice from time to time. Areas include: water engineering, ecology, agriculture, economics, business, finances, education, mining, shale oil, tourism, civil engineering, etc. These short-term assignments have their own terms of reference and are usually from 1 - 6 months. They are well paid positions and generally provide an excellent, low-risk way to learn about the country and have some influence with colleagues. Generally Arabic is not required for these assignments, although the more language and culture you have, the more relevant your life will be to others. Anyone interested should check out job advertisements for international organisations/donors that work in the country. We are hoping for people who are interested in more than just being a consultant; someone who wants to learn about the country and culture, link with our team here, and use the assignment to have a positive influence on both policy (ie what the assignment is about) and colleagues.
